Pretty Lady is one of the most exciting rose bushes we have come
across in years. This floribunda produces countless clusters of
soft pink flowers with deep salmon to apricot centers. Blooms are
sweetly scented that begin showing in late spring and continue all
the way through summer. Pretty Lady is very easy to grow and will
be one of the most admired plants in your garden.
Height: 36 - 48 inches
Disease Resistance: Very good
Zones: 5-10 (4 with protection)
Culture Notes: Plant in area that
receives full sun, a minimum of 5 hours of direct sun is recommended.
FloribundaRoses are not as fussy about soils as many other types
of roses, but will do their best in a soil that has been amended
with plenty of organic materials. (see
improving your soil for more info) While these roses are considered
very heat tolerant they do require a moderate level of moisture
to really flower heavily. Water during extended dry spells and frequently
during the first 3 -4 weeks after planting. To help conserve
soil moisture it is always a good idea to apply a layer of organic
mulch such as pine bark around the base of the plant to a depth
of 3 - 4 inches. Light pruning may be required to maintain
a tidier plant and deadheading faded blooms will encourage heavier
flowering. Feed at least twice during the growing season
with a combination of blood and bone meals.
