One of the most striking Evening
Primroses on the market. Huge 4 inch canary yellow flowers open each afternoon -
hence the name. Very long blooming variety - blooms over and over all summer long. A
very long lived perennial that forms a very large tuber to keep itself thriving in the
garden. Growth is somewhat trailing making it perfect for cascading over
retaining walls.
Primroses are not picky plants and are very easy to grow. Plants
prefer to be in full sun but will do fine in light shade. Soil should
moderately rich and well drained. Feeding should be carried out in early spring by
applying a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Seeds can be
collected from the plants during the fall and planted in the spring.
