This form of Liatris is almost
considered a dwarf growing to only around 18 inches tall - half the size of the other
varieties we grow. The vivid, bright purple flower spikes are a wonderful addition
to any garden. Kobold is especially nice planted with yarrows, sedums and ornamental
grasses. Very easy to grow and attracts butterflies.
Liatris 'Kobold'
Plant in full sun to very light shade. Plants are not fussy about soil
types as long as the drainage is good. Liatris are grown from corms (resemble small
bulbs) and if allowed to sit in constantly wet soil the corms will rot. Very drought
resistant.
