Very intense color that seems to glow in dappled
shade. The vivid magenta flowers appear above low carpets of deeply lobed green foliage.
Blooming begins in late May or early June and last for about 5 weeks. After the first
round of flowering you will need to shear the plant back to get a second round of
beautiful blooms. Plants are neat, compact mounds, with a mature height of around 15
inches and a width of about 2 feet. For the best visual result plant in groups of at
least two. Geraniums are not fussy about soil but we do recommend that you prepare the bed
by amending with organic materials such as rotted manures and compost. Plants prefer light
filtered shade but will do fine in full sun. If you do plant in full sun try to locate the
plant in area that will receive some protection from the hottest part of the day.
