Bright scarlet-red flowers tinged in vivid yellow.
Gaillardia 'Goblin' is a short compact plant growing to only about a foot tall but packs a
big punch when it comes to flower power. Blooms first come into color around the first of
June and just keep on opening up until the first hard frost. Gaillardia is a very easy to
grow perennial and will thrive in poor dry soils. Treasured by gardeners for their ability
to resist drought and provide a long season of fool proof color. Plant Gaillardia in full
sun in a loose well drained soil. Do not add compost or manure to the bed as these plants
actually prefer a poor soil. While plants are known for loving hot, dry conditions - you
will need to keep them watered until they establish a good root system. To promote profuse
flowering remove faded blooms weekly.
