Luxuriant is a
hybrid form of fringe leafed Bleeding Hearts. This beauty produces reddish-pink, heart
shaped flowers from May through October. The plants are much more tolerant of heat than
other forms and does not go dormant in summer. Foliage is a gorgeous blue-green and
growing to a height of about 14 - 16 inches. Even though Luxuriant is more tolerable to
heat than other Bleeding Hearts it still requires a good rich, moist soil to perform at
its best. Water deeply during dry spells and keep plants mulched to help the soil retain
moisture. Bloom color seems to benefit if sheltered from hot afternoon sun.
