A stunning new Coreopsis introduced from
Blooms of Bressingham. Masses of ruby-red, daisy-like, flowers on rounded clumps of
foliage. Plants grow to only 2 feet tall making it easy to use in the perennial border.
Flowers profusely from June through September, and profusely is putting it lightly -
Limerock Ruby absolutely covers itself in color. Plants are not as cold hardy as other
varieties of Coreopsis, and can freeze out in zones colder than 6. Plant in full sun
in a medium fertile soil that has been amended with organic material. We do not recommend
the use of manure as a soil amendment with any type of Coreopsis as it often results in
lush foliage with very sparse blooms. Limerock Ruby may need to be sheared or hard
pruned in late summer to promote a second flush of flowers. *(Plant Patent Applied
