heat, Wood's Purple burst into color with its charming purple, semi-double flowers.
Flowering begins as early as mid August and last through October. Asters
blooms are frost-proof and actually intensify in color with cooler weather. Plants
have a compact habit and grow only 12-16 inches tall. While Asters can be grown in light
shade you will have more prolific blooming and a more compact plant if you give them a
spot in full sun. Plant in a well drained, rich soil that has been amended with plenty of organic matter. Wood's
Pink Aster is very resistanat to powdery mildew and rust, two diseases known to affect
other forms of Asters. For healthier plants and heavy flowering provide a little
extra water to the plants during prolonged dry spells.
