This beautiful hybrid plant is the result of
crossing a US native Agastache with a Korean form. Wow! This is an incredible
perennial. We consider this to be one of the best new perennials introduced in
years. A very heavy bloomer that produces lavender-blue flower spikes from early
summer right on through fall. The strong stalks can reach up three feet, each one
covered in fuzzy mint scented leaves that lure hummingbirds and butterflies.
Agastache is very valuable in the garden for its ability to provide vivid color in the
hottest months of summer - a time when other plants begin to fade.
Plant in full sun and provide a rich well drained soil. Fertilize in early
spring with a top dressing of compost and bone meal. Liquid feed through out the
summer with fish emulsion or seaweed extract. Agastache prefers dry soils and is
considered to be a very drought tolerant plant.
