 The red Knockout rose is the most
popular shrub rose we offer. Knock Out is an unbeatable landscape
shrub when it comes to flower power. The fire engine red blooms
liven up the summer with a non-stop show of color. There are few
other plants that provide dependable color and outstanding garden
perfomance than the Red Knock Out Rose. The American Rose Society
named this incredible variety the 2004 ARS Members Choice, which
is noteworthy since this group seems to favor the more traditional
Modern Hybrid Teas.
While these plants
are not as particular about soil types as other roses they will
grow best in a soil that has been properly amended with organic
material. They bloom heaviest in full sun but will do superbly
with only 4 - 5 hours of direct light.

Notes: while Knockout Rose plants are considered
to be very low maintenance they will bloom much heavier if you feed
them at least three times per year with bone meal and liquid feed
with fish emulsion once per month during the growing season.
