Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion. considered to be the most dramatic variegated Hosta ever introduced. Plants mature into
breath-taking specimens reaching 6 feet in width. Sagae is considered to be a rather
slow grower so some patience is required. The huge wavy leaves are frosted blue with
elegant creamy white margins . It has an upright vase-like growing habit that further
enhances the bold statement Sagae makes in the garden. For the best leaf colors locate
plants where they can receive some morning sun but are protected from the hot afternoon
