Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion. by Walters Gardens of Zeeland Michigan. Regal Splendor was the American Hosta
Growers Hosta of the year in 2003. It is a sport of the very popular 'Krossa Regal'
with the same beautiful vase-like shape. Foliage is a stunning shade of frosty blue
with a wavy, narrow yellow margin that tends to turn ivory white as the summer progresses.
An outstanding Hosta that deserves a place in every shade garden.
