A sport of Abiqua Recluse, Paradigm
is a superb Hosta with chartreuse - gold leaves streaked with very
distinctive blue green margins. Color patterns intensify as spring
progresses. The corrugated leaves are thick and of good substance
providing good resistance to those pesky slugs. Plants grow to a
height of around 2 feet in height with a mature spread of 3 feet.
Paradigm was named Hosta of the Year in 2007 by the American Hosta
Association, and this honor was well deserved as this is a magnificent
plant.

Very distinctive and eye-catching |
Hostas prefer partial to full
shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial
role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged
dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone
meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or
fish emulsion. For more growing instructions see our Hosta
care guide. |
