Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion. A sport of the very popular blue Hosta
Halcyon. June offers wide, jetting, blue green margins that completely frame its
chartreuse centers. Leaves are pointed and has very heavy substance which offers very
reliable pest resistance. The yellow centers will bleach to a milky white if given to much
sun so keep June planted in shade. Like its parent, plants are small and compact
making them perfect for edging a pathway or shady border. Very nice!
