Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion. This brand new Hosta was introduce by Walters
Gardens who describe this incredible plant as "A true work of art, each leaf looks
hand painted". Their description is right on target. Eskimo pie is one of the
most exciting new Hostas we have seen in years. A sport of 'Northern Exposure' so you know
its got good genes! The leaves are puckered with pale yellow centers, chartreuse streaking
and blue-green margins. As with many of the Hostas in this group, the centers of the
leaves will fade to a creamy white as the summer passes. Very limited supply!
